The owners, Paul and his wife Helen, took the helm at The Red Herring Restaurant and Skebanga’s Sunset Bar on 1st December 2009. They are assisted by their very capable front of house team; Vince, Leslie, and Maxine, who will look after your needs and ensure your visit to The Red Herring Restaurant are enjoyable and relaxing. While back in the kitchen Karen and Carol ensure the thinks always run smoothly.
Although famous for their homemade thin based pizzas which are crafted by hand individually to order and cooked in their wood-fired oven they also have an extensive menu offering a wide selection ranging from seafood to steaks and lots in between.
Popular with locals and visitors alike, dining on deck offers lighter meals with beautiful forest canopies below and mountainside surrounds and a view that stretches from Chapman’s Peak, acrossNoordhoek beach to Kommetjie.
For a more intimate dining experience, enjoy the cozy setting of the downstairs restaurant. The Red Herring Restaurant is a cozy country style with a large fireplace for those cold rainy winter nights.
The restaurant is complemented by its own cocktail bar and is therefore ideal for private functions. The garden pergola area, which is adjacent to the restaurant is sheltered from the wind and is ideal for afternoon gatherings of friends and family.
